Meditation and Mindfulness for Insight
8 week courses based in the Winchester area of Hampshire
This course is for those who already have a meditation practice established or who have attended the wellbeing course and want to deepen their practice.
Over the 8 weekly sessions we look further into why meditation and mindfulness are so beneficial and explore the concept of grounding and re-energising your body. We also look at techniques aimed at deepening your understanding of yourself and the nature of reality.
The course introduces eight different practices taken from the Zen tradition and we discuss how they:
- Reduce stress levels
- Boost mental functioning
- Enhance physical functioning
- Further elevate levels of body/mind functioning
- Encourage the stages of Insight – exploring our true nature
- Increase vitality, energy and groundedness
During the course we will cover some of the scientific research on the benefits of meditation and mindfulness.
The price of the course includes weekly materials, a meditation journal and guided meditations for use at home.
Please note a commitment of 20-30 minutes daily home practice is recommended for this course to be most beneficial.
There are no courses scheduled at the moment as I am currently taking a break from teaching.
This course has been developed by Zenways (www.zenways.org) and contains practices from the Zen tradition. No belief or religious background is required for the course and it emphasises personal practice and experience.
